'Herkimer Quartz Diamond' is not an actual diamond. It is a crystal quartz found in Herkimer, New York, USA. The 'Diamond' in the name is due to both their clarity and natural faceting crystal. Herkimer Quartz Diamond are often an extremely clear stones but many comes with black anthraxolite (decayed plant material that fossilized) inclusions. Herkimer Quartz Diamond is used to substitute Diamond as April's birthstone.
