JEWELLERY CARE

Clean and Care for your Jewellery

With age and usage, normal wear and tear does occur. Regular maintenance is key to keeping the lustre, shine and colours of your precious metals and gems. Jewellery can last for years, even generations, if well taken care of.

Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing to take off. Store jewellery in clean and dry place; avoid storing under direct sunlight, heat and dampness. Avoid contact with any chemicals. Remove before showering, exercising and swimming. Use a soft polishing cloth to clean your jewellery.

Silver Jewellery

Silver Jewellery Sésu Jewellery is made from 925 sterling silver, available in Gold, Rose Gold and White Rhodium plated. A beautiful precious metal that does need a little love and care to keep it at it's best. We do not recommend it to wear it to shower, exercise, swimming or in direct contact with any chemical as it will tarnish quicker overtime. 925 sterling silver may react to the ozone and hydrogen sulfide in the air and cause sterling silver to tarnish. Perfumes, hair sprays, lotion, moisturizer and profuse sweating can also cause a quicker formation of tarnish due to the chemicals reacting with the silver. Tarnished silver will turn a darkish grey-black colour and is most easily removed using silver polish cloth, regular cleaning will help keep your silver sparkling. If it losses it's shine or colour, it can always be replated back.

Gemstone Jewellery

Most gemstones jewelleries respond well to mild detergent and warm water. Scrub them using a soft brush, preferably a baby brush with soft bristles. Avoid scrubbing too hard else you may end up scratching the stone. Rinse the stone and dry it gently with the help of a soft, lint-free cloth. Pearl and Malachite require extra care as it is softer compared to other gemstones, gently brush with damp cloth to avoid scratches and to maintain luster.
